Curriculum and Approach
The Lion King Academy is a preschool dedicated to provide outstanding early years care and education for children in a fun and interactive way. We have adapted the British EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) curriculum method where learning through play is key. At The Lion King Academy, a child’s day is filled with numerous exciting activities that are tailored to stimulate their curious minds and encourage learning through exploration. The activities are also meant to develop physical sensory and fine motor skills that are an essential part of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) program. These activities will also ensure a solid foundation for your child to enjoy school and demonstrate excellence.
Language and speech
Majority of the children are enrolled with us before they develop proper speech and communication skills. We, at the Lion King Academy support young children’s language development in early years. Our teachers encourage and support language acquisition as well as identifying any potential difficulties that children may be experiencing. We promote communication in English Language at all times in school premises.
Learning resources
Our huge selection of toys & resources, indoor & outdoor physical play areas, musical activities, swimming classes and sports are meant to develop physical sensory and fine motor skills that are an essential part of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) program. These activities will also ensure a solid foundation for your child to enjoy school and demonstrate excellence in real means.
Our teachers and practitioners
Selecting only the best and most qualified Teachers ensures that your child is in safe hands. Our experienced Teachers attend on-going training to ensure that our high standards of quality care and early years education are constantly maintained. We have a high level of adult to child ratio which shows our commitment and dedication to providing outstanding quality care.
Health and Safety
Our motto is to provide and maintain safe and healthy conditions, equipment and systems of work for all our employees and children. Our staff and practitioners are trained to provide first aid response. Where medical attention is required the nursery manager will notify the parent as soon as possible whilst caring for the child appropriately.
Meals and snacks
Nutritious meals and snacks are essential for young children’s optimal growth and development. The energy provided by healthy foods ensures that children will be ready to fully participate in the day’s learning opportunities. We provide 2 meals and 2 snacks each day. Our menu is based upon a 2-week rotation of meals that always includes protein, carbohydrates, milk, fruits and vegetables.
Transportation
We provide door to door transportation to and from the school for a reasonable fee. In addition to the bus driver, there is a bus monitor who escorts the child on and off the bus and ensures that children are seated safely. Using school transportation is optional and parents can pick and drop their children if they choose to do so.
